A170 is an
A road in
North Yorkshire,
England. It begins at
Thirsk, spouting off from the
A19 road after about 5 miles it reaches the very steep viewpoint
Sutton Bank, after a steep climb it enters the
North Yorkshire Moors and the
Hambleton Hills then it reaches the small town of
Helmsley and the
B1257 splits from the road after joining it at
Sproxton. It continues on its way east past
Beadlam,
Wombleton and
Kirkbymoorside before reaching the town of
Pickering and meeting the
A169 about 10 miles on, passing through the
North Riding Forest Park it leaves the
North Yorkshire Moors to join its final destination
Scarborough.
